Children’s Yoga & Shabam Sessions

Communities@Work are bringing children’s Yoga and Shabam (group dance) to the Celebrate Gungahlin Festival.
The activities will run in blocks of sessions:
10-10.20am; 11.40am -12.00pm; 1.20-1.50pm
Negar Ghasimi is a passionate and experienced yoga instructor who runs community gentle yoga classes. She will be running yoga sessions for children at the Gungahlin festival (you’re advisesd to bring your own yoga mat though we’ll have some available on the spot if you don’t have any)!
Fernwood will be running the Shabam sessions, a type of group dance workout, that will be tailored to children during the Gungahlin Festival to help them engage in movement while having fun.
These sessions are free, but bookings are essential – register now to make sure you don’t miss out!
Communities@Work will also be present to provide community as well as service information. Stop by and have a chat with us too! These activities take place on a concrete surface which is wheelchair accessible. There is limited on-street parking available in Hibberson Street and ample parking options available Behind Gungahlin College and at Gungahlin Marketplace. These activities are run by experienced facilitators who welcome every body. Actions can be adapted to accommodate movement challenges.
